Abstract
A 64-year-old Korean woman, presented a hemangiopericytoma of the sublingual fossa and was of 10 years' duration. It was encapsulated and considered benign. The hemangiopericytoma is an uncommon tumor which is a vascular neoplasm characterized by the proliferation of capillaries surrounded by masses of round or spindle-shaped cells. The treatment of most reported cases of hemangiopericytoma has been surgical excision because of no recurrence and the excellent results obtained.
